TIX on the square adds a small fee to the price of event tickets. This fee covers the operating costs of this web site and the TIX box office.
"A Bookworms Tale" is a two act musical being presented for the first time by two Edmonton High Schools (Concordia High School and St Joseph High School) mixed with professional actors, professional theatre tech, written by Edmonton's fastest emerging star Cara Albo (www.caraalbo.com) and being directed by Gilbert Allan (www.gilbert-allan.com). It's about being the bookworm/nerd in high school and finally triumphing over the bully who stuffed you in a locker every day or spread rumours about you so badly that you had to eat your lunch in the bathroom. It's about stereotypes and cliches. But most importantly it's about the struggle of who you are and who you are meant to be... and it re-teaches us that important lesson of never judging a book by its cover. The show runs from April 28th to May 1st with six performances.
