Originally titled Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love when it was first produced at Alberta Theatre Projects in 1989, this updated version of the script, Love and Human Remains, brings the plot into 2006, but continues to be as brutally dark, sexually explicit and wickedly razor-sharp as it was 20 years ago when it catapulted Edmonton’s Brad Fraser to international notoriety, making TIME Magazine's top 10 plays of the year.
Featuring a cast played by select students from the 2011 BFA Acting graduating class, Love and Human Remains follows David (Ben Dextraze), a former actor and current waiter, along with his book reviewing roommate, Candy (Gianna Vacirca), and his best friend, Bernie (Peter Fernandes), as they hunt for love and sex in Edmonton under the fearful grip of a serial killer stalking young women. Rounding out the cast of characters are Chad Drever as Kane, Spenser Payne as Jerri, Kyla Shinkewski as Benita and Ted Sloan as Robert.
