From Cradle to Stage: An Evening of New One-Acts

Walterdale Playhouse proudly presents three new plays from local Edmonton playwrights. Included on the evening’s bill are Sherryl Melnyk’s Even the Walls Have Eyes, directed by Sarah Jackson; Mike Czuba’s Hope Is Dead, directed by J. Nelson Niwa, and a staged reading of Robert Zimmer's Poetry Unbound, directed by Vivien Bosley.

Even the Walls Have Eyes deals with Andrea, who confronts her past at the funeral of her abuser. Through the monologue of accusation and revelation, Andrea fights her demons and emerges a stronger person. She does not let the audience of her 'family' get off easy, leaving the audience ...(more)
