TIX on the square adds a small fee to the price of event tickets. This fee covers the operating costs of this web site and the TIX box office.
A fortuitous confluence of availabilities of space, time, and personnel allows us to launch our season with an unexpected limited-run revival of one of our favorite and most oft-requested productions, Stewart Lemoine’s shimmering one-act conversation piece The Exquisite Hour.
First seen at the Edmonton Fringe in 2002, and revived in 2007, the play has lately become one of Canada’s favorite Lemoines, with well-received productions popping up in Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary.
In this thoughtful, provocative, and often uproariously funny comedy (with a hint of romance), a seemingly well-adjusted bachelor finds his life forever altered on a summer evening, when an alluring stranger materializes in his backyard to ask the question 'Are you satisfied with what you know?'. Jeff Haslam returns in the role of the questing Mr. Teale, now joined by Belinda Cornish as the mysterious Mrs. Darimont. Author Stewart Lemoine directs, and the stage manager is Rachel Rudd.
The Exquisite Hour plays for 10 performances only- Thursday April 11 through Saturday April 20th. There are no performances on Sunday or Monday. All evening shows are at 7:30pm, and there are matinee performances on Saturdays at 2pm. Tuesday is Pay What You Can. Tickets are $25 for Adults, $23 for Students/Seniors(65+), and $20 for Teatro Season Subscribers.
