Following the success of the Obsessions Octet’s debut album Obsession, which earned a 2007 Western Canadian Music Award and Juno-nomination, the Obsessions Octet is thrilled to release Melodia. The album’s repertoire, an elegant blend of classical strings and Latin jazz rhythms, includes works by Chucho Valdez, Astor Piazzolla, Cole Porter and a collection of Sangster’s original compositions.
