Axel Strauss has been equally acclaimed for his virtuosity and musical sensitivity on concert stages worldwide. The first German artist to win the international Naumburg Violin Award, he made his New York debut in 1998. His chamber music partners have included Menahem Pressler, Robert Mann, Andras Schiff and Itzhak Perlman. He has made numerous recordings for the Naxos label, including the complete works for violin and piano by Georges Enescu. Axel Strauss serves as Professor of Violin at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University in Montreal.

Stéphane Lemelin is an Edmonton audience favourite! An active soloist and chamber musician, he has made more than twenty-five recordings. He is director of the music series, “Découvertes 1890-1939” on the Atma Classique label, dedicated to the rediscovery of neglected early 20th century French repertoire. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Yale University, where his teachers were Boris Berman and Claude Frank. Stéphane Lemelin is Professor of Piano and Chair of the Department of Performance at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University.
