Kathleen de Caen received her BMus from the University of Alberta where she studied with Tanya Prochazka, followed by a Masters degree at McGill under the guidance of Matt Haimovitz. She has been invited on multiple occasions to perform for the ESO education concerts and was the featured young artist of their 2012 Symphony Under the Sky series. Chamber music performances have taken Kathleen across North America, including a Carnegie Hall concert with the Uccello ensemble. She is a founding member of Trio De Moda.

Janet Scott Hoyt is an Alberta-born pianist with a wealth of experience on the concert stage and in the teaching studio. Active as a chamber musician and collaborative pianist, performances have taken her across North America and Europe, including three decades with The Banff Centre, where she performed each summer with many of the world’s finest musicians. Janet Scott Hoyt joined the piano faculty at the University of Alberta in 1998 and retired in 2014.
