The Edmonton Jazz Collective unites a group of professional jazz musicians in a unique ensemble that showcases its members' individual voices. The musicians are all regular performers on the Edmonton jazz scene and include seasoned veterans as well as recent post-secondary performance graduates.

For this event, the Edmonton Jazz Collective will be featuring the music of Charlie Austin. In a career spanning four decades, Charlie has performed across western Canada in a variety of settings including the Tommy Banks Show on CBC television and the ITV Concert Series in the 1970s and 1980s. Perhaps even more importantly, Austin taught in the MacEwan University Music Program for over thirty years where he influenced generations of Western Canadian jazz musicians. He is also the author of "An Approach to Jazz Piano", a comprehensive jazz piano text sold around the world. Now retired from teaching, Charlie Austin continues to perform, teach, record and inspire.

Tickets are $24 each, plus applicable service fees.
