Good Women Dance Collective and New Music Edmonton present damn+Good at Latitude 53 (10242 106 St) on May 3 + 4, 2018.

GOOD WOMEN DANCE COLLECTIVE teams up with NEW MUSIC EDMONTON and the highly experimental and inventive music ensemble DAMN MAGPIES to create damn+Good.

The dancers and musicians will collaborate to create an improvisational performance with no limitations under the guidance of Good Women Dance Collective’s ALISON KAUSE and damn magpies’ ALLISON BALCETIS and IAN CRUTCHLEY. This interactive experience promises to be intriguing, entertaining, and full of wonder.

“This performance is a product of its process and spaces, objects, and people. We set out to create and let the limitations, both artistic and practical, present themselves,” says ALISON KAUSE.

“It’s going to be a really intimate experience for the audience - they’ll be in the space with us sometimes. It will really be about the peculiarities of the Latitude 53 space and about what it means to have this movement and sound circus happening in there,” says IAN CRUTCHLEY.

damn+Good features Good Women Dance Collective’s Alison Kause, Ainsley Hillyard, Kate Stashko, and local dancers Katherine Semchuk, and Krista Posyniak. damn magpies are Chenoa Anderson (flutes), Allison Balcetis (saxophones), Ian Crutchley (found oddities), Scott Smallwood (electronics), Mark Segger (percussion), and Jane Berry (vocals).
